Reese's first Easter was an enjoyable one. After showing off her dress at church (we're teaching her early to find her self-worth in looks and clothing), it was over to Uncle Jim and Aunt Lynda's house for delicious food, good fellowship, and some March Madness on the hi-def. big screen. The kids were particularly pleased to be with Uncle Steven, who was in town, visiting from Phoenix.

The day was especially profitable for Cade. In addition to knowing the joy of redemption through Christ's resurrection, he scored a personal record 32 eggs in the family Easter Egg Hunt (naturally, it helped that he was the only participant). Even better, almost every egg was filled with goodies of some sort. Add to it the number of "sugar-based" gifts he received from family (highlighted by a chocolate bunny standing nearly two feet tall!), and Cade has enough candy to last him until Halloween! Thankfully, Melissa's insatiable sweet tooth and my lack of self-control will go a long way in disposing of the candy, thus protecting Cade from the ill effects of sugar overload. Oh, the sacrifices we make for our children ...

i'm so jealous of the easter bonnet...reese looks so beautiful and she has such a handsome brother.
fun times at the easter egg hunt. jonas only wanted eggs that made noise...good thing he could care less about candy. eric and i also don't mind sacrificing and helping him out.
Sounds like you had a great Easter! The kids are so cute! I loved the slide show and Jack enjoyed it too. When are you going to come visit? :) xoxo
